Two summers ago, we sent home information in our end-of-the-year mailout informing families that our district was moving to an online registration format. Needless to say, that in retrospect, that experience was not a positive one.
There were numerous glitches in which information did not update. Families with multiple students had to duplicate information for each student individually. The financial piece brought issues of its own. And in the end, most everyone at home and throughout the district hated the process. Last summer we reverted back to the paper version . . . and learned.
No great discovery or breakthrough in our life comes without failure. Learning from that failure is a key to future success. Through the hard work of several district leaders including Corner graduate, Laura Dill Ware, Jefcoed Online Registration (version 2.0) has arrived and went live on June 4, 2018.

There is one login site for the entire district instead of one for every school. Families with multiple students need only complete the information for one student and demographic information populates for all other students. There is no online financial component.
Families who have completed the process have been very pleased with the ease by which they have been able to complete all online forms. I have heard from numerous sources that they were dreading the process, but once they started, they were done in less than 15-20 minutes.
I would encourage all families of currently enrolled students not to wait until the last minute to complete the registration process. We will still have our on-site follow-up on July 31st where we complete residence verification, collect fees, distribute lockers, order yearbooks, and other stops along the way. Students who have not completed the online registration process prior to this date will be directed to computers across the road to complete the online process first.
Each student should have received his/her online registration PIN (Snapcode) in the mail. If your student did not receive the Snapcode or it has perhaps been misplaced, please contact the school at 205-379-3230 so that we can get you another copy of the registration Snapcode.
Please feel free to provide feedback about your online registration experience so that we might be able to look at ways of improving the process in the future. Corner Middle School and the Jefferson County Board of Education welcomes your feedback!
